Let’s have a couple of hours sketching fun.All levels welcome.

1. Looking Out. Sea and Waves.
When: Tuesday March 16th
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. North end of Jack Bayliss Park.
Who: All levels
Cost: $50pp
We’ll spend some time looking out at the movement of the sea. Such glorious light and glistening colours as it swells, and the light coming under the waves.
We’ll use mainly paint or Aquarelles for this and very little drawing.
You’ll need an A4 or A5 ringbound sketchbook and your sketch kit.
I can loan one if you don’t have your own.

2. ‘Looking Up. Skies & Clouds’
Because we had to Covid cancel - this will be an online Workshop coming soon.
When: Thursday April 1st. Rain or shine😎
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. North end of Jack Bayliss Park. Where the playground is.
Who: All levels
Tea and coffee provided.
Cost: $50pp
Let’s quietly look up and feel the freedom of clouds floating by. We’ll observe the subtle colours and create swatches of lots of watercolour combinations. Then we’ll look up again and put paint on paper. The most relaxing way to spend a morning.
You’ll need an A4 or A5 ringbound sketchbook and your sketch kit.
I can loan one if you don’t have your own kit.

3. ‘What Colour is Green. Trees & Foliage’
When: Friday April 9th.
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. North end of Jack Bayliss Park.
Who: All levels
Cost: $50pp
Distinguishing greens is very tricky quite often.
In this workshop we’ll look at ways to show the variety of green in different trees.
Swatches of these colours will remind us how we got those greens.
You’ll need an A4 or A5 ringbound sketchbook and your sketch kit.
I can loan one if you don’t have your own kit.

4. What Colour is Water
When: Friday April 16th.
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. North end of Jack Bayliss Park.
Who: All levels
Cost: $50pp
If the colours in water confuses you - then this Workshop will take away your concerns.
We’ll look at ponds and creek reference, rivers and lakes and see how to get the look of water. You’ll love the results.
You’ll need an A4 or A5 ringbound sketchbook and your sketch kit.
I can loan one if you don’t have your own kit.

5. Black & White and Minimal Colour
When: Friday April 23rd
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. By the Playground, North end of Jack Bayliss Park.
Who: All levels
Tea and coffee provided.
Cost: $50pp or $55pp if you’d like a sketchbook too.
In this Workshop it’s all about the sketch.
We’ll choose a subject nearby and sketch in black line.
We’ll get the sketch done, then decide where we’d like a little colour.
These can be quite dramatic.
I’ll bring you a Sketchbook to keep, and loan you the sketch kit if you don’t have your own.

6. Sketch Your Cake HighTea - The Perfect Mothers Day Gift
When: Friday April 30th
Time: 11.00am - 1.00pm
Where: Flutterbies Cafe. 25 Coolman St. Tyalgum
Who: All levels
Cost: $85pp
Our ‘learn to sketch High Teas’ are an experience to treasure. In the gorgeous little village of Tyalgum village we have our own High Tea Room at Flutterbies Cafe.
You will begin with sketching your champagne, followed by one of the best High Teas around. Everything is a sketch. And you get to eat it!
You’ll need an A4 or A5 ringbound sketchbook and your aquarelle pencils. I’ll loan you a kit if you don’t have your own.

7. Funny People Doing Things
When: Friday May 7th
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. By the Playground. North end of Jack Bayliss Park.
Tea and coffee provided.
Who: All levels
Cost: $50pp or $55pp if you’d like a sketchbook too.
Today is about people sketching.
We need them often in our sketches but we’re too afraid to put them in.
Here we look at the shapes people are and making simple versions of that. We’ll see what people around us are doing and make lots of quick sketches of their movements. Huge fun here.

9. Found Items Native Leaves & Seeds
When: Friday May 21st
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. North end of Jack Bayliss Park.
Tea and coffee served.
Who: All levels
Cost: $50pp or $55pp if you’d like a sketchbook too.
Once we’ve all settled at our table, we’ll then go and search around for interesting leaves, seed pods and grasses.
Each grouping will be laid in the table and we’ll sketch them.
Colour next and what delights we’ll have in our sketchbooks.

10. Sketching in Just 3 Colours
When: Friday May 28th
Time: 9.00am - 11.00am
Where: Kingscliff. By the Playground. North end of Jack Bayliss Park.

This one is a real surprise for people. Sketching in just 3 colours! Yes and you’ll be amazed.
We’ll sketch what’s on the table then use combinations of 3 colours and see what we get. With each sketch we’ll change the colours. Sooo much fun.
