Great coffee and herb gardens

Great coffee and herb gardens

Another lovely week of sketching in venues far and wide.

This week we did our ‘What Colour is Green’ workshop in the gardens at Harvest restaurant Newrybar. Each time we do this one the colours of green change with the seasons. Here we had olive tree colours, citrus yellows and autumn tones all together. Such beautiful colours to work with.

Still sketching nature, we had our ‘Sketching Seeds and Pods’ Workshop using whatever we found on the ground. It’s a great way to really observe the shapes from banksia pods to feathers and dried leaves. Great results here from new sketchers.

Rockin the Blues was about music and we Urban Sketchers finding our subjects at the ‘Blues on Broadbeach’ festival. It was just wonderful to see so many bands and musicians finally able to perform to huge audiences. Such a lovely day and all of us got a huge variety of subjects and styles. What a wonderful way to spend a day.

Let’s take a look.
