Tony Hits Front Page
Juliette Sivertsen is one of Tony McNeight’s Auckland sketch students beavering her way through the Intro to Sketching course. She also happens to be a Travel writer with the NZ Herald.
What she did next was amazing.
Juliette decided to write an article for the Sunday Travel supplement and part of the Sunday Herald. These are her experiences while learning to let go and become a travel sketcher. Letting go of perfection is never easy, but she certainly managed.
Her editor asked if she’d do a sketch for the front page of the supplement. She laughed! How could she do that after just completing the course!! Well she did as you can see above. Tony guided her on this sketch of the Auckland War memorial, a flat perspective with a sense of grandness.
You’ll love her writings about the learning process, the self doubts and the triumphs.
Here’s the link if you’d love to read her story.
