Follow the steps to create this vase of yellow & blue flowers

  1. Sketch your still life.

  2. Add chinagraph round tops and sides of objects.

  3. Wash of yellow ochre.

  4. Wash of cad red

  5. Cad yellow over the flowers, and a dash of cad red. Sap green over leaves.

  6. Hookers green over leaves.

  7. Ultramarine in the between areas, with a dash of cad red to get good darks.

  8. Add the tiny blue cobalt flowers

  9. Wash of ultramarine down centre of vase.

  10. Wash of purple lake down centre of vase.

  11. Add some cad red over stems in the vase.

  12. Sitting down line under base of vase - ultramarine, the a dash of cerulean round back of leaves - avoid a continuous border. Let us know how you enjoy this flower still life.
