French Picnic Sketch Workshops
We’ve been lucky with the weather on the days we’re having our French Picnic sketch workshops in the tranquility of the park.
Well we should mention that on one of the days - a massive gust of wind blew over our coffee container and gave a sketchbook a nice beige patterned background! You’ll see that sketch below.
We decided that day to adjourn to safer ground in the Studio.
Nothing stops a sketcher.
One of the most perfect days was the one forecast to have ferocious winds, hail and rain - the works!!
What did we see on the said morning!
Blue skies and not a breath of wind. Just perfect. What a marvellous day we had.
It’s so lovely being outside in a big expanse of green park under a lovely old shade tree, hearing nothing but the birds tweeting and the waves rolling in on the beach.
We so enjoy the ‘getting away’ part of it, enjoying good company and sketching together, with a glass of rose with our lunch to top it off.
All that gorgeous morning tea and French lunch comes courtesy of Maurice our very attentive butler. One feels very spoiled but we do love a bit of indulgence.
