Sketching in Natick
2025

Hi, Erin here and I’ll bevback in Natick again in August/September 2025 - from Australia visiting our family in Natick.
This will be the 4th year I’ll be giving my Travel Sketch Workshops and Classes in Natick.
Learn to see what’s around you and get your own impression in a sketch book.

A very big thank you to Denise Girardin, Kim Dwelley and Jane-Ellen Frazier Newman for their encouragement and support in creating these Workshops and Classes.

Cost: $400pp for 5 weeks
Casual: 90pp per class
I’ll let you know exactly where to meet each week closer to the time.

If you’ve not sketched before, then this is your opportunity to learn. No experience needed and you will begin to see what’s around you and to get that as an impression as you see it, into your sketch book.
No photos required. Just what you see with your own eyes,
Huge fun and very rewarding, particularly if you like to travel, or even if you don’t. Everywhere you look is a sketch. You just havent seen it that way before.

The Sketch
Believe it or not, sketching isn’t about talent! It’s about seeing!
Workshops or Classes - I’ll show you how we observe what’s in front of us, by looking and observing our subject,
and getting those shapes into our sketchbooks.
No pencils to start, just a black pen and a willingness to ‘let go’ and put lines on a page.
You’ll soon see it coming together in your own style (yes you have one.)
We sketch outside on location and not from photos or reference.
It’s about having fun and enjoying whatever ends up on your page. Wibbly wobbly is fine.
I’ll be demonstrating every step of the way.
