‘TROPICAL Sunset Magic’
Watercolour & Line Sketch
ABOUT
This is a scene I was enjoying while sitting on the balcony of my bure in Fiji. I had my delicious fruit cocktail which looked the same colour as the setting sun.
It was then that I decided to sketch it.
The colour changes so rapidly but I kept looking up and working out
which of the colours I could use to get that brilliant setting.
We’re using watercolour over our line sketch.
I layer the colours to get light and dark and I take you through as I do it.
You can then set up one of your own and follow the same steps, on location of course.
By taking the time to observe and learn my techniques, you’ll soon see how it applies to more complex subjects with ease.

WHAT YOU GET

* Each page has easy to follow instruction/guidance notes with full colour sketches to follow.
* We’ll start with the first planning sketch right through to the completed work in full colour.
* You can take as long as you like. Stop and start anytime.

*Any size sketchbook with flat white paper - not textured. 125gm is fine. I use A5 often.
*Black waterproof pen. (No lead pencil needed)
*Set of 12 Watercolours (check the link above and you’ll see the 8 -10 colours)
Chinagraph wax pencil to highlight whites before you apply paint
