This is one of my foundation lessons as I do in class
We look at the shape of one particular tree, sketch it in, and use layered colour to build up colour using Aquarelle pencils. Then we look at other tree shapes.
You only need a very minimal sketch kit for this class, and be keen to spread your wings.
Then you can set up your own trees and follow the same steps.
By taking the time to observe and learn my techniques, you’ll soon see how it applies to more complex subjects with ease.

Sketch Kit you’ll need.
*Any size sketchbook with flat white paper - not textured. 125gm is fine.
*Black waterproof pen. (No lead pencil needed)
*Set of 12 Staedtler Noris Club Aquarelle pencils.
(If you have a different brand be sure it has Yellow Ochre, one of our important colours.
