Out and About This Week
The weather has worked very well for us this week. All that promised rain moved aside in perfect timing for our classes.
In Newrybar, we are quite delighted being down among the flower and vegetable gardens, all part of the restaurant fresh food and herbs supply. The beehive was where we headed on this day. Making it a feature of our composition and observing it’s perspective. It’s below eye level therefore you’re looking down on it,
It will then have 2 vanishing points. One going this way and one going that way. Easy😁
Our Friday Kingscliff class was ‘Pathway to the Beach’. Starting with thumbnails we did a few with portrait and landscape ones to decide which way we’d go with our main sketch.
I do encourage trying both as it’s quite interesting when you look at both, that one stands out and often you didn’t expect it to.
We took our chairs over to the beach and sat at the beginning of the the pathway to observe all the shapes and proportions. What a lovely time we had, and were joined by one the goannas and the brush turkey. There are plenty of other creatures but they just rustled away in the background.
Might have a quick look at some of the really terrific sketches we’re seeing as part of Octoberfest.
