This is a very special experience for solo travelers, couples, art groups or friends.

We’re based in the Dorsoduro neighbourhood, the quieter side of life in Venice.

Perfect for all levels of sketching and I work with you however experienced you may be.
I’m teaching you Travel Sketching - which means avoiding detail and learning to sketch faster and more loosely - in the time you have.
Always in your own style, always en plein air - on location.
No perfection required.

We do quite a bit of walking as you can imagine.
Do make sure you’re fit enough for many steep bridges, cobbled streets, and stairways.
We love sketching, but we also love discovering quiet little out of the way corners, intriguing little art shops, bookshops,
festival masks and novelties and good little cafes for a coffee, lunch or dinner.

Our last evening is a night sketch at Cafe Florian in St Marco Square.
Quite magical under the stars, orchestras playing while having cocktails and sketching. Unforgettable.

Erin Hill and Milton Hill are your hosts and organisers for these small more personal tours.
It means we can more easily tailor our week to the things you’d most like to do.

Be sure to book your flights or train to your next destination from midday on
to allow time to depart your hotel and get to the airport or Railway Station.
Who is it for:
Anybody who’d love to learn travel sketching and drawing, using watercolours or simply like to polish up their drawing skills and loves the idea of sketching, exploring and living like a local in our Venice neighbourhood.
No experience required, just a desire to sketch.
Let’s make sure we are reasonably fit as Venice has lots of cobbled surfaces, steps and steep bridges.

COVID-19 Policy.We follow all the procedures and rules that the Government of each country requires and you will always be informed of any updates.

Depending on weather, we’ll make changes if need be.
We will start the day after breakfast with coffee and a chat.
Lunch will be about 12.30pm for 1hour or so to regain our energy.
We’ll sketch until 3pm or so and then return home.
You’ll have homework to work on if you like to complete your days work.

I’ve designed this custom sketch kit to be minimal and fit into your shoulder bag, ready at any moment.
It contains everything you need. Don't be tempted to bring more.
* Bring a folding stool if you like, a hat, sunglasses, sun lotion, money for incidentals, such as drinks and meals not included.
* Do get travel insurance - better safe than sorry.
* Come with a big happy smile and willingness to learn.
