I’m taking you to Paradise. You will begin to feel the busy life you lead drifting into the background and the relaxed feeling of being in the moment wafting over you. Fiji does that to you.
You’ll be staying at our gorgeous Daku Resort in Savusavu in a bure with all mod cons and your own bathroom. The town is a busy little hub with a very deep harbour where you’ll see the luxury yachts moored, while we have coffee on the wharf, gazing across the bay. You’ll enjoy wandering and shopping in your free time.
Breakfast is a wonderful choice of everything, and just ask for eggs any way you wish. I’ll chat about the sketch plans for the day and you’ll be joining in a warmup sketch to get our pens in the mood.
Everyday you’ll be progressing in your sketching as you observe local markets, visit a village and see the kava ceremony and festive dancing. You may be on a white sandy beach under a palm tree being served tea and scones. Swimming in cerulean waters. Diving among tropical fish and coral. Seeing the oyster beds and cultured pearls. You’ll find yourself smiling most of the time.
Dinner is at our own table by the pool and the staff serve a different cuisine each evening. You’ll have the best time here and you’ll laugh more than you have in a long time.
All this time your sketch book is filling with sketches and stories of how you spent each day.

About your tutor Erin Hill
All levels of sketching welcome, as on all my tours. The priority is always to show you special Erin Hill Sketching techniques to more quickly than you can believe, produce work to a standard you did not think possible. For watercolour enthusiasts, you’ll adore the way we use this medium.
Erin is an internationally followed Travel Sketch tutor, renown for her ability to take sketchers from their early moments with a sketchbook and pen to pride and astonishment at the sketching result they achieve.
The trick is her ability to break down into deceptively simple steps the way the eye works with the hand to produce a sketch image. Experienced and new sketchers alike credit her with improving their way of seeing and the techniques they use to render an image.
She has unique techniques on using colour, which results in her own stunningly bright images. Mixed with a letting go approach to image making she helps sketchers find their own creative style.
She has taught hundreds of sketchers around the world in her own workshops in France, Spain, North Africa, Asia-Pacific and the US. She has many friends in the Urban Sketchers movement and last year was invited to run a very successful workshop for tutors at the prestigious New York College of the Visual Arts.
