We’ll wander a quiet campo in the morning. Laundry fluttering above a narrow alley.
A tiny bar where the locals stop for coffee. Gondolas slipping quietly along a canal. The sound of footsteps on stone. Magical.
And instead of rushing from one famous sight to the next, you stop.
You look. You really look.
You sketch. Who cares what it looks like.
You are observing Venice. In you’re own style.

We’ll spend time in Dorsoduro and beyond, discovering the quieter, the real side of Venice, with plenty of time to sit, look, sketch, wander and enjoy the wonderful Italian rhythm of life.
You just need to be happy to get a few lines on a page.
You don’t need to produce a perfect sketch. And you certainly don’t have to sketch like me.
You simply need to be curious and willing to look at the world a little differently.
Because when you sketch a place, you don’t just visit it.
You remember it.

We are your hosts and organisers for these small more personal tours - the nicest way to see Venice.
We can more easily tailor our week to do the things you’d most like to achieve.
DAILY SCHEDULE:
9.30am - 12.30pm: Travel Sketching classes.
12.30pm Lunch and free afternoon.
4.00pm till 5.30pm. Meet up for sketching and review of the days work. Plus aperos.
7.00pm. Meet in hotel foyer if you’d like to go to dinner. You’re welcome to do your own thing.

Do take a look at it and try to get as close as possible.
I’ve designed this custom sketch kit to be minimal and fit into your shoulder bag, ready at any moment.
It contains everything you need. Don't be tempted to bring more.
* Bring a folding stool if you like, a hat, sunglasses, sun lotion, money for incidentals, such as drinks and meals not included.
* Do get travel insurance - very important.
* Come with a big happy smile and willingness to learn.
