Melbourne classes

Jeanette Jones heads up Erin Hill Sketching Melbourne. Jeanette combines her many years of experience in business management and counselling with Travel Sketching and Tutoring.

About our classes this week
 Intro Sketchers -Wednesday Gasworks
An exciting class with the introduction of how to use our watercolours. Doing swatches of colour and mixing puddles of water in varying strength of colour pigments. Lots of fun.
We practised layering different coloured washes on rocks and did we get some fabulous  looking rocks.
Then it was out and about to sketch palm trees and what a choice big tall ones or a cute squat size that everyone decided to sketch.
A cool wind so we headed to “ Pricilla Jones Cafe” to apply our colour.
A great start to using our watercolours.
General Sketchers -Thursday Gasworks
A cold snap and winter is finally here – our warm up activity is a ‘tea party ‘and sketching some brightly coloured tea pots and mugs, simple bold sketches and practicing bold lettering and wording.
We revisited how to apply watercolours with pure pigment and it was lots of fun.
A food sketch in a journalistic way followed with the recipe of chocolate chip muffins on the table to sketch.
An ‘in studio ‘day today as it was a touch cold to go out and about.
Keep enjoying your travels.
Warm regards,
Jeanette X
