Timetable for TERM 4. Manly
 

Term starts October 8th till December 1st  (8 weeks)

Please be sure you can attend every one of the 8 weeks classes.
This is a step by step progressive course, and it's vital not to miss a class.  If you must miss one we do offer a makeup in another Intro class in the same week.

Once you've booked a course, there are no refunds for missed classes. Nor can these be carried over to another term.


Tuesday
Tues Eve Intro to Travel Sketching - 6.30pm - 8.30pm with Gaye

Friday
Intro to Travel Sketching  – 11.00am - 2.00pm with Pamela

Saturday
Saturday Intro to Travel Sketching - 1.30pm - 4.30pm with Donna


Cost              
$360 for 8 weeks + $130 for our custom sketch kit


There are 3 parts to our travel sketching classes, although we may vary the plan depending on location and weather:

  1. We begin in the studio or a cafe and start with warmup and technique sketches

  2. Sometimes we're Studio based, other times we're out on location sketching our subject of the week

  3. Finish at a local cafe, either starting a final sketch or finishing off our location sketch

Week 2 – Applying Colour the EHS way
Week 3 – Water and Sea
Week 4 – Watercolour Introduction
Week 5 – Flat perspective & colour
Week 6 – Eye level perspective and architecture
Week 7 –  People and figures Faces and movement
Week 8 – Review of what we've learned and a surprise exercise.

Do I need to buy the sketch kit?

Yes! Our intro course relies on students having the EHS kit.
Over the years we've tried and tested oh so many sketching materials and you get to reap the benefit of our trouble and experience! Our kit is specially focussed on our first time sketchers - helping you quickly learn the basics of our unique colour layering approach and designed to be minimal - fitting into your shoulder bag ready to be pulled out anytime.

White chinagraph pencil
