'The Magic of Paris & South of France’

The Magic of Paris.

The Magic of Paris.

Join Erin Hill on a magical sketching journey of Paris and South of France.

Erin Hill has been creative all her life. She is a graphic designer who has morphed through advertising to fine art to become an unstoppable sketcher and urban sketcher with her own Sketch Schools.
Erin is an International Sketch tutor with courses and workshops in Australia, New Zealand and Southern France, where she teaches her own simple and therapeutic way to become a sketcher.
Workshops also take place in Boston and New York and by invitation.
Erin has been organising and tutoring Sketch Tours since 2008.

We’ll start our sketch tour with 3 days in Paris in Saint Germain. I can’t wait to show you Paris through the eyes of a sketcher.

The delightful Carol Gillot of ParisBreakfasts will sketch with us in her favourite secret locations on our first day. Click here to see her blog.

Then onto the romantic South of France where I’ve spent so may summers. Did you ever read Rumer Godden’s The Greengage Summer? For me it all began there.
Vineyards stretch as far as you can see, azure skies meeting the Midi Canal and the avenues of plane trees. Where the food is grown right there, and the recipes are those tried and tested over hundreds of years. Historic Cathar castles, romantic region of medieval troubadour poets and the Knights Templar. The new and traditional wines you’ll discover will surprise you with the delicious varieties from one domaine to another.

Sketching threads all these stories together in a journal you’ll fill with forever memories.
