We decided that the last Saturday of term should be a bit of an outing for everyone one to join in.
Luckily the weather was not the usual Easter downpour, but a blue day with plenty of sun. Off we went on the ferry and made our way to the – where else – the cafe. A good meeting point for the others within the Botanical Gardens.
This was a great group of enthusiasts and all found a multitude of subjects to sketch. Quite a few chose close ups of the flora. It’s so peaceful that you do find yourself taking time to look at everything around your chosen sketch spot. A massive variety to choose from of course.
Lunch was under the shade of a very large tree – of course – and a bit of a chat and relax was a lovely way to spend our day and not be eating Easter eggs.
My sketch was all on one page and just some moments as they happened.

Oh good I found some sketchers on WordPress!
Looks like a great day…….I know….I was there!
We were so lucky with the weather. Now we’re getting the expected wet stuff. Maybe some indoor sketches then.
