This week has been a little like being away somewhere and travel sketching, even though it’s been over 2 separate weeks.

Our still life set up was very much to do with Easter, but it was sketched with just paint and your brush in 3 minutes. Colour was then added. Almost as though you’d lost all your pens. Never be held back. Use anything at hand to sketch.

Our location was based on sketching a well known icon but not being able to get close.  So from where we could see St Patrick’s Cathedral in the distance,we had to create a composition which would draw you into the sketch.

Everyone did remarkably well and are somehow more interesting than a classic ‘pretty view’.  You have excelled yourselves dear students.  Till next week.
